Last season when these two bitter rival teams met, Everton came out victorious at their home turf and drew at Anfield in a thriller 2-2 draw. Everton vs Liverpool is are very old rivals and i will not be surprised if fights do occur in this heated contest. There was time four to five seasons ago, where Liverpool always came out victorious against Everton when the likes of Xabi Alonso, Arbeloa were still controlling the midfield and Left back zone respectively but that all changed when they departed to Real Madrid and downfall started. Liverpool suddenly lost their confidence which also cost them the UEFA Champions League spot. Everton started to take over the rivalry match and at the moment it is very difficult to say that, Liverpool for sure look the winners in this derby match. Even if Kenny Dalgish has arrived as their Savior, Liverpool still do not look dangerous which they were few seasons ago. As a coach Dalgish has only played one match against Everton so he still does not have enough experience on that. His strategies are still not competitive enough i am afraid to say.
For Liverpool to gain their confidence back, this opportunity will not come better than this by winning against their bitter rivals Everton. Let us hope Liverpool do well because they currently they are too good to be playing like this.
